Meursault Cuvée "Tête de Murger" comes from the marriage of two Climats: Meursault Les Casse-Têtes, located on the hillside of Meursault, and Meursault Les Murgers de Monthelie, located on the hillside of Volnay.
Terroir: This Meursault comes from the marriage of two Climats: - Meursault Les Casse -Têtes situated on the classic slopes of Meursault (between Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet) facing eastwards and with little soil. - Meursault Les Murgers de Monthelie on the Volnay slopes orientated to the west with a topsoil of 80cm of clay on a layer of volcanic rock (Volnay).
Tasting notes: The initial vigour and mineral sensations from the Casse-Tête plot combines well with the fullness and length in the mouth from the Les Murgers de Monthelie plot giving a harmonious wine with a prolonged finish and expressing the true nature of the land from which it originates. It is a great wine for ageing.
Aging potential: 8 to 10 years
Serving temperature: 11 to 13°C
Serving suggestion: Shellfish and finer fish.
